NYC BLACKOUT 2003
In a photo taken by Diane Bondareff posted on freerepublic.com, it shows one of the terrible after effects that arose due to the result of an earlier blackout that took place on the east coast. In a NYC subway station on a hot summer day, many New Yorkers are seen leaving a train which had lost power and walking in conditions which most may have never experienced before without proper cooling or ventilation systems working. That circumstance alone has forced people who may have not liked each other to work together and brought everyone together who may have distanced themselves at once into one collective group called “human beings”. This day will forever be in our American history.
