After reading all the articles, I found “Dave Chappelle’s “Mad Real World” Portrays Current Racial Injustice” to be the most interesting. I really enjoyed reading the article and watching the corresponding TV Show parts.

I must be honest, I found the show to be quite hilarious. The creators succeeded in keeping the audience engaged every minute of the show. There were several black stereotypes addressed in the show and everything was done so in a comedic matter. The creators basically reversed the “roles” of blacks and white and made a connection with slavery. Chad, the only White individual, basically represented the slave. He was abused unnecessarily, was treated like an outcast, and was overall just mistreated. Even after stabbing Chad’s father, stealing and fortifying his girlfriend, and getting sexually assaulted, the group of blacks feared Chad to pose as a “dangerous” threat to the others.

There were also several racial injustice issues addressed as well. Such as police brutality on the blacks. This was represented quite significantly as the white character was portrayed as a slave rather than a superior. This was clearly visible when Chad was outnumbered and choked to unconsciousness for no apparent reason.

Overall, Chappelle’s skit shines light onto the disadvantages minorities face today and also calls for the situation to be looked at from a different perspective as well.

I chose this image to represent me because looking back now, ever since I was a young boy I had an underlying passion for machines. Not just any machine, but machines made to reach unimaginable speeds. Machines made to unite us automotive enthusiasts for the love of the cars. Open roads, great music, man made machines, and amazing individuals.

Ever since I first reached the pedal, life shifted into full throttle.

Nothing brings me more joy and pleasure than spending my time around cars. These machines have become a part of me!
