Hi everyone, my name is Melissa Espinal. I’m 18 (not for too long b-day coming up soon!…although 19 and 20 seem like pointless ages *shrugs*)…if you couldnt tell from the title of my post, I am hispanic. Dominican to be exact and VERY proud of it. I was born in Dominican Republic and came here very young. I love my heritage, music, food, and basically all things Dominican. I’m a sophomore at Baruch and am planning on being a Journalism major. I love pop culture and television and hopefully one day you all will see me again on E! News or MTV interviewing Drake (future husband haha) or Beyonce(my idol).
I love music and singing. I’ve been singing since I was very young and I graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia School of Performing Arts. I was vocal major there and it was intense at times but very fun and I got to meet some amazing people and do some amazing things that I know I would not have gotten the chance to do at any other school. I dont know what lies in my future in terms of music, but hopefully I can incorporate it in my time here at Baruch and beyond.
On my limited free time I like to read, sing (obviously), party, and spend time with my friends and family. I have two jobs. I work at a clothing store and babysit in Brooklyn. It gets tough but I think I balance it pretty well…Well thats basically all there is to know about me. Looking forward to the rest of this semester and doing well in this class!
