I just came to say hell-o ^_^

I am a transfer student from Brooklyn College. I was a laid back social butterfly who was a tad bit lost about myself. I wasn’t as active or more aware of my potentials as a student and a person as I am here at Baruch. I have joined USG here and I feel like I finally found my niche. Back about 5 years ago in high school, I always wanted to be involved with the student government but was too lazy to do so. I feel like being lazy should be illegal (lol) because it’s poisonous as it blocks a person from achieving their objectives. This is my third semester here at Baruch and so far so good. I was born in Brooklyn and have resided here ever since. I am the oldest in my family of 4, so I shoulder a lot of pressure as everyone looks up to me. I believe that diversity is essential for students in a university that demands you to broaden your horizons. So I tend to network and reach out to different types of people. With that on note it is important as a student academically to have as much fun as you can in what you do even if it is reading a textbook. The best way for me to make learning fun is by applying them with real world experiences. For example I had trouble memorizing the functions of the brain from Chapter 3,  so what I did was that every time I had a conversation with my friends and if any flaws were pointed out, I would jokingly blame it on my left hemisphere.  I love to travel although I have not been able to for a while. I am definitely going to study abroad somewhere in Europe once I am in the Zicklin. My hobbies are music, reading, socializing, eating, and fashion. I am heading towards Finance for my major, while psychology is my intended minor and quite honestly it has been my favorite class so far. I also have liked modern literature, sociology, economics, statistics and history. I am a part of the Undergraduate Student Government here at Baruch, specifically the finance and student services committees.
