Hi everyone, my name is Sharmin Pala. I was born in Bangladesh and moved to New York when I was three years old. I am currently a sophomore here at Baruch and I plan to double major in economics and mathematics.
Some of my interests include traveling, listening to music, biking, painting, and reading a good book once in a while (although I should read more often).
My favorite classes thus far have been English and history. Currently, I really like my microeconomics and Japanese classes. I write for the opinions section of The Ticker at times and copy edit occasionally. I am also hoping to get more involved in school activities this semester.
Something about me: I really like anything that has to do with water. But unlike most people who love the beaches in the summer, I actually like them more in the fall or winter. I guess they look more peaceful at that time of the year.
