(Sa-wad-dee means hello in Thai language)
Hi everyone!!
My name is Taratorn Sakdapitakkamol but you can call me Tara (much easier). I was born and raised in Thailand, Southeast Asia until I was 14. I came to the states in 2003 and have been living in NY since then.
I went to International H.S. @ LaGuardia Community college (LAGCC) started from 9th grade. At that time, I had very poor English. I did not understand many things that teachers taught in the class. My 2nd year was more successful than my first year. I took a higher level math class in the Senior Institute.
I started to take college classes at LAGCC since the summer before 11th grade. I was in the Excel Program that gives the opportunity to some students to stay for the five years and graduate with an associate degree.
Now I’m here at Baruch. I’m currently a senior student majoring in accounting. This semester I’m taking 3 classes: PSY1001, ACC4100, and MSC1003. To be honest, I’m taking Psych class to fill up my elective credits. However, I choose to take this class because it sounds very interesting and actually it does!!
As you can see, I’m a part-time student because I’m also working as a waitress at a Thai restaurant in Woodside.
Well, I can’t think of anything else now.
Good night everyone!!
