What area of interest/research question do you wish to explore through a research study design?I would like to test the relationship between exercise and academic success.
What variables or concepts are you looking to observe and/or manipulate? I would like to observe the impact exercise has on the overall academic performance of a student.
What type of design would best suit your research question? Correlational design
What research method would you use to conduct your experiment? (Survey, case study, naturalistic observation, lab experiment, etc.) I would like to combine the survey method along with case study.
If applicable, what would you put as your independent and dependent variables? independent variable is the daily exercise routine of a single student or a group of students. The dependent variable would be the grades of the students participating in the research.
Give a hypothesis about what you think you might find. The daily exercise of students may have either a positive effect on their grades or no effect at all.
What might be the benefits and implications of this study? In other words, who would gain from it? I believe it would be helpful to prove a correlation between grades and exercise, since if it is positively correlated, students will be able to use this information to improve their grades by working out more.
Please reflect on the process of designing this experiment. What were the challenges you faced? Was this more/less difficult than you expected? How? I believe this experiment is relatively easy to conduct as the both exercising routines and grade scores are simple to measure.
