Memory Reflection

1. How would you begin the process of recovering your memory? Who would you turn to, where would you search, and how would you proceed?

I would first start off by having family members explain to me as much as they can. Once I get the history of myself and family down I would ask friends if they could fill me in with the memory I have forgotten. Hopefully all will go well from the information I have received from family members and friends.

2. Please describe the emotional journey you imagine you would be going through as you attempt to reconstruct your life. Imagine the feelings you would have.

I feel as if the emotional journey would be very hard, the fact that you kind of don’t know who you are and what purpose is driving you. Also being fed memories that you don’t recall would be very hard to take in since you cant picture or ever think of it happening. In fact I think it would be most scariest part of my life if I had to reconstruct my life, but in another way it can be beneficial the the memories you always wanted to erase.

3. Suppose you were able to pick and choose the memories you wanted to recover from your life. What types of memories would you choose to retain and what types of memories might you decide to edit out of your remembered experience? Positive, negative, painful, happy, angry, frightened, etc. Please elaborate and explain some your decision making process.

I would definitely replace all the bad experiences I have had in my life. Especially relationships those will never disappear and most people tend to have troubles forgetting their memory of it. For myself i would cut out my past relationships because it was just a battle left and right they way I see it now continuous verbal arguments and etc. Memories I would retain are the memories with friends and families during the good times such as parties, gatherings, and just relaxing with them. Even stupid moments of myself or friends is a memory I feel everyone should keep. These are 2 types of memories I would erase and keep because negative things would just torment someones memory for ever, meanwhile positive memories will just bring happiness.

Hello

Hello, my name is Andrew Lee and I am a Korean American born in Queens, NY. My personality is best fit as outgoing and friendly, also definitely easy to talk too.

What I usually do during my free time is either head to the gym or to play basketball. I also love to drive, either just to cruise or go on the road to think haha sounds corny but yea.

I just transferred into Baruch from NCC. My experience in Baruch so far has been great. Being able to roam the streets of NYC and I have a lot of friends in nearby schools so that’s another plus. Currently I am set on becoming an accountant, with a desire to seek more networking committees. Sooner or later I plan to plug myself into the business society and to continue my path in becoming a successful business man.

My favorite class so far is between History and Psychology. Most of my other Professors are pretty boring and monotone. Well other than that I am completely out of words so this is where I end it!

"1. After reading the reflection writer’s description, what do you think was happening to them during the meditation on a physiological level? Well Harleen was able to focus on her breathing and ignore everything else that was on her mind therefore she was at ease. 2. Based on your readings throughout the semester, what areas of their central and peripheral nervous systems may have been effected during the meditation? I think that the amygdala in the central nervous system was most affected by the meditation because Harleen's anxiety calmed down. 3. What questions do you have for the writer about their experience? If you were to expand your time during the meditation do you think your daily live stress would be cut to a minimum. 4. Based on the description provided, would you be open to trying the same meditation exercise? I would try it to see if it can reduce my stress levels and just for experience."

"My hypothesis would have to agree with you on this on, breakfast is very important for health and just in general so i feel as if it would help students perform better. Also i would also test it the day of the exam, due to a student who eats breakfast everyday verses those who don't to see actual effects. People who don't eat breakfast or those who eat wouldn't really get effected because skipping 1 meal would not kill you. The next to this project would be to see what kind of food will benefit you more, such as eating just sugary food compared to whole grain or protein based foods."
