Hello Everyone

Hello classmates! This is my first year in Baruch and I am a freshman. I grew up in Queens, NY for the first eight years of my life, but then I moved to Scarsdale, NY. My family is from India and I speak Gujarati and Hindi along with English. Most of my time outside of college is spent playing sports with my friends. The sports that I play the most are soccer, basketball, and bowling. I enjoy playing video games on my Xbox such as Halo, C.O.D., and Fifa. I am very interested in criminal shows like the first 48, criminal minds, C.S.I., and forensic files. Psychology is not my intended major; it just happened to be in my block for my first semester. Psychology is easily my favorite class so far even though i wasn’t quite psyched to take it. It’s a lot of work, but I am enjoying learning about myself and the professors are helping out a lot. I haven’t joined any clubs yet, but I am planning to join at least one by the end of the semester.

I am looking forward to majoring in finance. I chose this as my major because it has a lot of job opportunities and it’s something I would like to do in the future. When I am at home I am always on my computer, logged onto Facebook and playing some online games. I would describe myself as a funny and caring person once people get to know me. I don’t really open myself up to new people, but once I do I start to talk more and socialize. I hope to make some more friends in my freshman year and keep up my grades.

"1. I would first start by asking the doctors where I am and ask about where I can find my family. Once you are at home, I believe your parents and siblings can help you find your way in this world. They are the ones who know most of your friends and all about your life. Once you find your friends you can identify your hobbies. 2.I would be angry at first because we have known each other since childhood. After a couple months when they finally recollect most of the pieces of their life I would be back to normal with our friendship. 3. I would try my best to help my friend put together the pieces to their life. 4. I would try to help my friend remember the most important memories of their life by showing them images and videos of it. These event would be past birthday parties which would help them remember different friends."

"What would be your hypothesis of the study’s outcome? My hypothesis would be that education and heavy studying will cause a student's health to deteriorate overtime. What suggestions do you have for the researcher on how to improve or adjust the proposed study? While it is really unlikely that all the students will tell the truth on the surveys and case studies, you could try this experiment at a bunch of different colleges. You can try it at schools where they are known for giving a lot of work and compare it to schools which aren't noted for that Are there any drawbacks or potential harmful impacts of this research design (or results?) There are no drawbacks from the research design because these students will be in their natural environment and nothing will be altered with. What would be the NEXT STEP after this hypothetical research study were conducted and presented to the public? Can you propose a replication with a good twist? That’s often how research works and how the field is able to advance. Maybe you can think up a great Follow Up study! This type of study will probably have a variety of results ranging all over the place. Many of these studies would have to be done in order to obtain any source of data. Since everyone's body works differently some people may actually benefit from less sleep. You could then conduct a follow up experiment for people who don't get that much sleep and compare it to their health. These people could be under a lot of stress from school or you could try kids who don't put much effort into schoolwork and play video games instead all night"

"I also went to a small high school like you; I had around 600 people. I was wondering what video games you play because i also play a lot of video game in my free time. Ya, it's kind of weird to have a whole class bigger than the size of your high school"
