Hello Classmates!

My name is Gabriela Serrano, but I am used to everyone calling me Gabby. I graduated in 2007 from LaGuardia Community College with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. Last fall was my first semester at Baruch College. I intend to major in Accounting and have a minor in business writing.

From Monday through Friday I have a busy schedule with school and work. As for weekends I try to spend it with my close friends and family. I am not into the club/ partying scene but I do enjoy going out to have dinner and drinks. My friends and I can spend hours talking about anything.

I love food! I love trying new types of food. However, I do not cook. I love my moms cooking; we are from Mexico and her homemade food is delicious!

I don’t spend much time watching TV, but I do watch news almost every morning. I played softball in high school and overall I would say that I am an athletic person.

So I hope we all continue to have a fun in psychology class, because so far it has been; and best of all, we are learning something new at the same time!

I get bored of listening to the same music on my iTouch, which is why I love Pandora Radio online! http://www.pandora.com

"Speaking to who may have been with you in the accident is the best way to start. If you had your identification with you and you parents where reached then speaking with them would hopefully help you out as well. Who else than your parents would to tell you what the negative moments in your life were so that you can choose who to have back in your life. I am pretty sure that even without loosing your memory, we cannot always grasp everything in our memory; as for choosing what memories to keep would be hard anyways so that would not be much as a concern for me. It is always good to try to keep the most positive and happy ones though. If I was a longtime friend that you couldn't remember I would be so bummed! Hopefully you have me in some photos so that you could remember how far back we go. If you are able to see that I have been part of your life for a long time I would definitely try to spend a lot of time with you so that you can recover your memory quickly. I would try to create some sort of hierarchies for you. Perhaps one for your work which can help you organize where you work at, what your occupation is and with who; and then do others that would try to think of."

"I feel your study is too broad, but overall a good one. Like you said this experiment could be broken down into two; how does exercise affect a person’s level of stress, or how does stress affect a student’s GPA. Each experiment can be done with questionnaires as well as lab experiments. Persons who would gain from the exercise/stress experiment would be athletes as well as any individual who may have high levels of stress. In the stress/student experiment all students especially those who are easily stressed. The follow up to your experiment can perhaps be taking adult learners and your typical college students (straight out of high school students) and conduct a study on how their different stress levels affect their GPA."

"I really enjoy your lectures! Definitely one of the best professors in Baruch. Your demonstrations make it very clear in class to understand the material. I actually look forward to class on Wednesdays and FRIDAYS!"
