my meditation!!!

Prior to starting the meditation I have been exhausted, overwhelmed and anxious. The stress that mostly everyone might be feeling right now because of assignments being due just a couple of days before Thanksgiving weekend gets really tough. The amount of anxiety that I am feeling right now is about 7-8. I would not go higher because I have been threw worst situations but right now it is not that bad. The level of tension in my body prior to mediation is about 8 because of feeling really stressful which caused me to get a headache and fever-like symptoms.

After the mediation I have felt really relieved, there is no other treatment besides meditation. My mood now after meditation is that I am very pleased and happy. My anxiety has dropped to a 2 because I still have the feeling of tension due to the upcoming couple of weeks. The amount of physical tension I feel is about 1. The experience of meditation felt like I was stranded on an island and I can literally feel like there is no other thing in the world except myself to worry about. In my mind I was first thinking about school, family, and other personal matters but then it started to all fade away like something just drifting far way from you. The meditation that I used was the online one named “Ajahn Sundara: Intro Guided Meditation”. It was really helpful, I am really glad I took 20 minutes out of my time to go through this meditation which will hopefully do me some good throughout the next couple of weeks to come. I tried to take this meditation as a challenge in itself because going through this would be something that one needs to overcome and realized how mind relieving it is.

Hello fellow classmates and professors, my name is Iqra Yaseen. I am a current junior here at Baruch College and interested in accomplishing a degree in the medical field. I was born and raised here in Long Island City, New York and my background is Pakistani. Though I have not visit Pakistan, I would love to go one day. My favorite classes in Baruch are in the literature and anthropology department. My hobbies are to sew and knit and organize/decorate places. I am liking this psychology course so far and very interested in the topics we will be learning in the future also.

"Usually for me, if I have a laptop in front of me during class and there is available internet in Baruch, it would tempt me to go online and surf the web but also I would be a little double-minded about that. The reason is because when sits in a lecture hall and there is people around you, I would not want them looking into my business, which is why it would depend on a couple of factors such as availability of the internet and the population of the class. But usually I would agree that your hypothesis that one would get attracted to the laptop and not pay attention to the teacher which is the main reason I stopped bringing my laptop to school. I would rather take notes down on a notebook so I can remember what the teacher was saying."

"Hello Amaraa, I completely agree with you on the fact of actually taking the opportunity one has at Baruch because honestly it is a nice environment where one can gain almost anything they want. This is my 3rd year in Baruch and trust me it has been an awesome experience, with the friendly classmates and professors, one really gets use to it."
