To begin the process of recovering the lost memories, I would look at old photographs and videos kept by my parents. The settings represented in the photographs and tape could stimulate some recall of what I did at those specific places. Of course, I would have to turn to my family for help in remembering those memories, for they were present in most of my life.
More than likely I would have a sense of being lost and confused in trying to piece together the whole entire past. Even if I can turn to my family, I probably would not even recognize them. So the feeling of being alone would be strong. Not only being alone, but fearing of who I can trust in going through the process of recalling my memories. Someone can make the claim I made the internet, and I would go through the rest of my life in disillusion believing that I did so. So my perception of what is true and false can be a skewed, for I cannot recall the past.
If I was able to pick out certain memoires, I would choose those memories of pain as well as happiness, for those two categories are probably most vital in normal function throughout life. Those memoires of pain would help me know what dangers to avoid and what actions not to perform in order to not feel pain in the future. Those memoires of happiness would give me the knowledge of what things are worth remembering, such as family and close friends and those events that created moments of joy in my life. Also with the knowledge of what makes me happy or hurt, I can acquire the knowledge of my past personality.

I’m Lucas Lauber, and in my second year here at Baruch. I’m from Queens, New York and commute every morning into school, because nothing says good morning like a bunch of people crammed into a tin can with about 50% of them needing to take another morning shower. I intend on majoring in Business Management, because I don’t intend on majoring in Accounting. No offense to anyone with a deep passion for the field, but I find it boring and tedious. I really wanted to be a cowboy, but my mother said no because it is not a real job. But given the current state of the economy, there is a good chance I can find work as a cowboy. Maybe a farmer?!? I would say pirate but that has legal consequences. Nevertheless, glad to meet you all and see you in class.

"1. Based on your description of your experience with yoga, I could tell that the tension was relieved from your physical body as your frustration and tiredness left your mind, or at least took a vacation while you were meditating.
2. Both nervous systems seem to be in a relaxed mood during meditation. Stress and frustration can lead to tension as well as major effects on the nervous system; however, with meditation, as evident through yoga, decreases the tension. It allows for better blood flow through the body as well as a better heart rate and oxygen levels due to the increase in breathing.
3. Obviously this experience has been very successful for you, my question to you is would you partake in a yoga class again? If your gym offers the class for free with your membership I see no harm in trying it again.
4. I have been very interested in trying yoga for awhile now. I still recall when I purchased a book from some guy in the subway about how to meditate properly, and I have yet to look at it. However, now I am more inclined to give a book a look, or even go to a class."

I would suggest that instead of randomly assigning the students to have them place themselves into the category that they feel comfortable. By randomly assigning a student to writing or typing notes, you may place a student use to writing down notes to typing, which can make it an awkward environment for them focus on the lecture. It is also possible that some students may take no notes, which makes me suggest you should also consider the possibility that no notes can also have an effect on memory. A drawback of the design can be the quality of each class. If you place all one category into one class and the entire opposing category in another, you risk the possibility that one class may have a better lecturer, or ask more questions, or have a more engaging class which can have an impact on memory. This is where I would randomly assign the students into two groups, and not separating them by note taking techniques. A follow up study that would be interesting is if you add more categories into the experiment. A follow up study can be if quizzes accurately affect the amount that people remember. Using the quiz as a way to measure memory is effective in this experiment, but a study can be done on how effective it can be in measuring memory."
