MEDITATION

A. First, take note of the moods you’ve experienced.

Right now I am stressed thinking about school and my future.

B.   Assess your overall level of anxiety on a scale of 1 to 10.

My overall level of anxiety is 6

C.   Assess the level of physical tension in your body- where do you notice the tension? Try rating your overall tension on a scale of 1 to 10.

My level of physical tension is 5 because I have pain in my hand from punching a door.

III. After you have finished your meditation, re-asses your state of mind and body.

A.   Reassess your mood on the chart.

After the meditation, I felt more relaxed

B.   Reassess your level of anxiety from 1 to 10.

My anxiety level is 5

C.   Reassess your level of physical tension and rate it from 1 to 10.

My physical tension level is still a 5.

IV. Describe the experience– What type of meditation did you choose? Describe what was going on in your mind and your body, what kind of thoughts and sensations did you experience during the meditation? Were there any challenging or frustrating aspects of the experience, and if so, what were they? Would you try this again in the future? Why or why not?

I chose the guided body scan and it was pretty easy as well as relaxing. We pretty much drained all of our thoughts from our bodies and I would definitely try this again as well as recommend it to others. This definitely relaxed me however did not affect my physical pain at all.

Breakfast & Learning

My Hypothesis is that students who will eat breakfast will perform better not just on tests but in school in general because they will be more focused.

Experiment would consist of 2 groups, each with 3 boys and 2 girls so the the playing ground is equal for each group, then group A will be tested with out having breakfast earlier in the day. Then group B will also be tested given breakfast earlier in the day.

I would use surveys as a way to question people on their breakfast eating habits and daily routine.(to see how their scores came out and how the day went)

Everyone that will read this will benefit from it because its not just for students, its for everyone that thinks breakfast is not an important meal, it will prove to everyone how vital breakfast actually is and for those of you who already knew this it will simply re assure you that you were right.

I did not experiment any difficulties in getting people to participate in my experience because i forced to family to do it.

"Hi I would have to agree with gonn in all aspects.we keep our good memories because it is something good that we can later on reflect upon and we keep the bad ones because it shapes who we are as people today."

"Hi I agree with both Maurice and jlear 100%, however i do feel as if it would be close to impossible in getting to be who you were completely only because for the most part no one really knows how you feel all the time about certain things sometimes because we just want to make someone happy and if we turn to friends ffor help they will just try to make us feel a certain way thinking thats how we felt before not knowing that we never felt that way at all and were just trying to keep them happy."

"Hi I would agree for the most part about re tracing your steps to find out who you were by looking at pictures and asking my closest friends however i would have to disagree when it comes to forgetting your most embarrassing memories because those memories are so vital in shaping who we are today"

"I have to agree with maurice because i would want to know about my bad memories as well because they shape who i am as a person.Which would affect others because of how i would act around them."

"I would conduct my experiment the same exact way however my theory would be deff because i go on to also later state its all about the money and have almost nothing and never to do with if you have 1 or 2 parent. As far as benefits and implications go in todays modern day society no one looks down on anyone with 1 parent in fact they give them more credit because it might be a bit harder growing up with out a mother , father etc.. This is not true because it wont matter if you have 1 parent or 2 parents. The fact of the matter is MONEY, it all comes down to money if when growing up your parents have money you will be more relaxed thus being able to concentrate on school more and attend a better school."
