Reflection2 – Memory

1. How would you begin the process of recovering your memory? Who would you turn to, where would you search, and how would you proceed?

-I would begin the process of recovering my memory from my closest friends. Both they and I probabaly have some shared experiences such as trips, restaurants, playing games, or even fighting. It would be hard to recover all the memories alone, but if my friends and I go to some places that we have visited before the accident, my unconsciousness would know some part of the shared experiences. They would be very helpful to recover my memory. Also I would ask for help from my family. My family are the ones who know me well and shared experiences when I was a child. The palces I grew up and played would be the key to recover my memories. I think it would be better to go somewhere I have been before than listening to recover hte memories because the visual memories last longer than the verbal memories.

2. Please describe the emotional journey you imagine you would be going through as you attempt to reconstruct your life. Imagine the feelings you would have.

-It would be aweful. I would wonder myself who I am, where I belong to, and where to begin recovering my memories. I would have to learn everything I knew. My relationship with other people would get narrower than before. These facts would make me suffered from depreesion and give up recorvering the memories.

3. Suppose you were able to pick and choose the memories you wanted to recover from your life. What types of memories would you choose to retain and what types of memories might you decide to edit out of your remembered experience? Positive, negative, painful, happy, angry, frightened, etc. Please elaborate and explain some your decision making process.

-I would choose the happy and positive memories I had first. They would encorage me to recover further potential memories. Once I recovered my positive memories, I might stop to recover the memories because happy thoughts make happy mind. Even it would be aweful memories, I might change it to be the positive way unconsciously. I think I don’t need to try to think of angry or negative memories. However, sometimes, the negative memories would come up in my mind persistantly. If it would happen, I would let it go and admit

Hello, everyone!

Hello! My name is Seongmin Kwon and I’m from Korea. This is my first semester in Baruch college. I’m transfer student from Northern Virginia. It is nice to take PSY class with you all. I grew up in Seoul, Korea, came to Virginia five years ago. I have never been to New York before. I think it is awesome to live in New York though it is a little bit tough life so far. PSY class is one of my favorite classes I’m taking. Also I like Math class.  I’m not any member of organizations, but I will join later. I’m looking forward to studying PSY course with you!

"1. After reading the reflection writer’s description, what do you think was happening to them during the meditation on a physiological level? The writer's anxiety level was dropped to 2, and the physical tension level became 1. Meditation the writer experienced helped her be relaxed and forgot about her stress. 2. Based on your readings throughout the semester, what areas of their central and peripheral nervous systems may have been effected during the meditation? I guess the parasympathetic nerve was activated, so the writer took a deep rest just like we sleep at night. 3. What questions do you have for the writer about their experience? Im wondering that how could the writer control herself well to concentrate on only meditation. 4. Based on the description provided, would you be open to trying the same meditation exercise? Sure! I have a lot of stress, too. If I can be free from the stress, I will definitely try to do it. Especially the writer tried the meditation for very short time ."

"My hypothesis of this research is that the students who study more and get less sleep will have better grade on the test. My suggestion for this research is that how you would measure the amount of study for both students who sleep more and less study and who study more and less sleep. I think if this research is designed to study the affect of amount of sleep on the grade, it would get various result. However, there would be a potential drawback. A student who doesn't sleep and study overnight for the test would also get better grade on the test than the ones who sleep more and less study. I think the good grade on the test depends on how much the student study, not depends on the amount of sleep."

"Hi! How are you! Nice to meet you. If you plan to live in Viginia, you definitly need a car! However, in New York, I don't need a car, but strong legs to walk. That is the most difference. Oh! Also the prices of tabacco are way much cheaper in Virginia than NY."
