Hey!

My name is Tanay Rudra, I am an international student and this is my first semester at Baruch. I was born in India but haven’t really stuck to one place for more than 4 years! This is due to the fact that my Dad works for the UN and that has obvious consequences, one of them being moving every 3-4 years. I started out in India and then went to Bangladesh (then back to India) , England (then back to India again) and now the United States.

My intended major is business administration but that’s still far off into the future, adding some flexibility to it. I enjoy doing a lot of things in my spare time ranging from sleeping to reading and listening to music. But off late I seem to be a bit deprived of that much sought after time!

Anyway this was somewhat of an introduction to who I am and I’m looking forward for what this course has in store for us.

"As a friend I would not try to overwhelm you with too much information at once, rather I would hope that the questions you ask and the answers I give will help you make associations. Memories linked to emotional responses will be easier to remember and perhaps that is a good way to start your process of recovery. A positive attitude is essential in this as the state of mind also has a huge role to play in memory retrieval. Not being able to remember me may pose some difficulties but I'm sure with adequate help, recovery will be inevitable."

"-My experiment would be restricted to only those who participate in some sort of sport and not mix them with those who never have. As for those who never played any sports and devoted all their time to either studying or say playing music, may perhaps be worse off with sports in their lives. -I agree with Mingyang that bringing club activities creates too many confounding variables and should therefore be curbed. -The draw backs to this research may be the lack of categorization of the different sports people participate in. For example, Chess and Football can both be considered forms of sport but with different requirements. -For your next step, you may want to investigate the optimum hours one should devote to sports to get the most out of learning."
