***12/02: Research websites that sell these toys.  Take note of which kind of vinyls are sold out.

A quick Google search allowed me to see just how many suppliers there are of vinyl toys and artistic figures. I found 0ver 30 online sellers, from all over the world, especially Japan and the UK which sell a wide range of these designer toys and figures. Some are made of plastic, others of wood, steel, etc.

In New York City there are less than 10 stores that are dedicated to selling vinyl figures amongst other creative forms of expression like comics, shirts, posters, etc. which include:

After visiting these websites, I began to notice a trend. The more expensive and larger designer art figures ($40-$100+) were sold out the most.

After I thought about it for a while I figured it out. The main things these figures had in common were that they larger and were usually limited edition with only a few made.

This is great to know. Larger and more limited editions are definitely something for me to keep in mind and consider.
