About the event:
The holiday season is one of the most excited and beautiful times of the year. It is time to meet with family, friends, exchange love, create memories, eat good food. However, 2020 has been a tough year. So much has been lost and changed, that we might need time to emotionally prepare for the holiday season.
The Initiative for the Study of Latin America (ISLA), the Psychology Department, the Counseling Center, and the Office of Health and Wellness would partner to facilitate a de-stressing event to help Baruch students relax, and meditate. We will get together over a Zoom call to drink a hot cup of chocolate which reminds us of the magical hot chocolate made by our abuelitas, the one which would make us feel safe and at home. We will learn about mental wellness and meditation, and get informed about resources offered at Baruch for health and mental wellness.
