Austen and Money

For those of you interested in more information on Jane Austen and money (we only scratched the surface today!), I wanted to give you a couple of resources. Here is a useful article by an economist that goes into much further detail about the economy of Regency Britain. And below I’ve posted a short video by Austen scholar John Mullen that helps open up some nuance about how her characters understand class markers.
