Next Steps…

I’m much more of a care free person, I have a very general plan of what I hope my life to be, but I won’t be upset if I deviate from that plan. My schedule for next semester allows me to have a lot of free time during the week. I chose this because I wanted to become more active in the community, such as clubs and even outside the school. The community service project has introduced me into doing something more besides school work in my spare time. I’ve seen various programs I’d like to try, like a pottery class I found in Brooklyn. While I want to focus on exploring my more liberal arts interests I still want to look into my business interests. I want to continue to attend various lectures the school has in areas I might be interested in like finance or the nonprofit sector. The speakers we had in FYS also peeked my interest especially the counseling center. I intend to do their introductory session this semester and continue to attend whenever I feel I need the additional support. I think it’s great to have this option around for all students to use and Baruch has many more to offer. I’ll not only going to be visiting the counseling center I’ll be at the writing center too! It was much more clear and helpful than I could have ever imagined it to be and I’ll definitely be going back. All the services Baruch provide for free is really astounding. More long term I hope to tutor for SACC and whenever the stress becomes too much I’m more than happy attending a tutoring session. I hope to make Baruch feel like a second home in the coming years and I can’t wait to experience it all.
