Let me introduce my useless design from the activity that we did in class. The photo shows a very simple draft of the design, which consists of a large mixing bowl with a dough scraper attached to the side.

In the beginning, I struggled to come up with an idea. There are so many utensils and items that I can pick from the kitchen. In addition, everything in the kitchen is useful, it is challenging to make some useful things useless. To start my designing process, I started to think of things that we use in combo, and mixing bowl and dough scraper came into my mind. To make them useless, I attached the dough scraper to the side of the mixing bowl. The scraper will completely lose its proper function as users cannot hold it in hand and scrape the dough from the mixing bowl. However, I neglect the fact that the mixing bowl still works as a bowl. This makes the useless product not that useless. If I can modify the design, I would like to attach the scraper in the middle of the bowl, making both items losing their functions.
