  1. For a minute and a half share a story of migration and labor with a classmate. Protecting and respecting boundaries you can discuss your own experiences, or stories from family members, friends, loved ones, co-workers, etc.

Writing Exercise

  1. Pick ONE poem from the second group of poems by migrant farmworkers.
  2. In its directness and simplicity analyze the poem. What things the farmworkers wanted to communicate? What is important for him/her/them? What feelings stand out?
  3. Re-write the poem integrating your own experiences or those of your people. You can also incorporate things you have learned on the news, social media, in this or other classes, etc.
  4. Share about your critical and writing process
