Recently, E coli bacteria was found in the Romaine lettuce. This news hit the millions of Americans who were preparing for the celebration of their Thanksgiving parties. Romaine lettuce usually is served in salads. “If you do not know if the lettuce is romaine or whether a salad mix contains romaine, do not eat it and throw it away,” the C.D.C. statement said. “Wash and sanitize drawers or shelves in refrigerators where romaine was stored.”
The  outbreak was first identified on Oct. 8  which has led to the hospitalization of 13 people.One of the person developed kidney fever as a result of consumption of romaine lettuce. Several people are hospitalized in Canada and other states of America. Therefore, it is really important to take action on sanitization and think about the food we consume.
Also, it is really essential for government or health department to find a solution to the outbreak. So that, people won’t have to suffer. In addition, tracing down of the causes of outbreak and stopping it before it spreads is very important which will prevent from whole industry to suffer. There’s a famous saying, “prevention is better than cure” . Regular check of the field twice or thrice a year, where food grows by the government official might help to mitigate the cases to some extent.
