Have you ever been in the situation when you want to insert the picture to your presentation slide but the picture’s background does not match your slide’s background? I think every student had been in that situation, that is why many of the presentation have bright white backgrounds, which is not quite attractive. Look for example on the Steve Job’s presentations; he background is always made of dark colors. As for me, I think the darker background is more appealing for the audience’s eyes. But, what can we do in the situation when backgrounds do not match? Unfortunately, many students are not familiar with functions that Microsoft PowerPoint has. Today, I want to discuss about very useful tool, that can help you to get rid of picture’s annoying background and leave only the content that is needed for you. As an example, you can check “my works” section and my presentation that I uploaded. There, you will see that many pictures does not have any backgrounds. Moreover, in the management team slides you will see that pictures has nice effect. So, how did I do that? Here it is how.
First, go to insert tab and press picture. Choose the picture you want to insert. When the picture will be inserted to your slide, the “Format” tab automatically will pop up. On the left hand side, you will see the “Remove Background” option. Press it. There will be two instruments to use, pencil to remove the area and pencil to keep the area, and functions to discharge any changes, keep the changes and delete mark. Use both pencils marking the areas for the best result. The area that you need to delete is very easy to catch, when you have monotone, for example white background (it is the case when you work with some logos). When you mark the area that you want to use just click on keep changes.
