As mentioned in the announcements, I had to switch our class from in-person to remote because of an issue earlier in the day. I walked or scrolled through the archive of Opportunity to demonstrate how I approach the large chunk or body of data based on

• key words
• familiar names (e.g. Claude McKay or Countee Cullen)
• Pictures and images
• titles
• Using the “Find” function

 

We did not cover the piece by Schomburg and will do so on Tuesday. There is a blog post due Tuesday, but no new reading, so we will have time to discuss further.
