The Close to Home program is a system that houses delinquent teens in middle class neighborhoods. Its main goal is to positively influence these delinquents to start a better life. The delinquents are mandated to live in South Ozone Park as members of the society and behave properly. Meaning that they are expected to live in our society as residents and go to school as well as find jobs that eventually allow them to support themselves. They will be treated as if they were under house arrest and will be allowed to leave the house during certain hours. Currently, they are projected to be housed in a property on 128th Street and Rockaway Boulevard. The exact address of the location has not been disclosed because the process of housing the delinquents is still pending.
