Welcome!

I am currently a sophomore majoring in biology at Baruch College. For majority of my life, I lived in the suburbs of New York and now attend college in the city. In 2020 our lives changed in a way that many alike me in my generation have never experienced before. A deadly virus took over the world. For starters, the COVID-19 pandemic was a terrible situation for many people, causing widespread dread and unsolved questions. The rest of the world had little understanding of the situation, and the leaders of the countries were under pressure to clarify it. While each country dealt with the new epidemic in its own way, America’s response was unavoidably to put the country under lockdown. Work, school, and leisure activities were all halted. While many businesses and services went out of business, others migrated online. In this new and unsettling situation, many people were unclear what to do next.
