The Art of Innovation

QUESTION 1: WHY IS INNOVATION IMPORTANT, AND HOW IS IT CHANGING?

Innovation is important because the worlds and the needs of the consumers are constantly changing. If we were to just create solutions to problems without constantly trying to find better ways to get to the end result we would still have horse drawn carriages and it would take us forever to get from point A to B.

In this day and age everything needs to be mobile, cordless, and light weight because people are always on the go. Products are being created so that people will have an easier time both using them and carrying them in their bags or pockets.

Ex:

Boombox->casset player->CD player-> MP3->iPod->Smartphone

QUESTION 9: WHY DO YOU THINK DELL WAS SUCCESSFUL WHEN OTHER COMPANIES TRYING THE SAME  MODEL FAILED?

The world is constantly changing and company’s need to be able to respond quickly to these changes. I believe that what made Dell successful was just that. They were able to target the consumers needs and realize that not all consumers are looking for the same type of computer. They understood the demand of their consumers and decided to concentrate on making ever computer to the consumers requirements and so that they can always make them happy. Innovation to their supply chain system is why they succeeded while others failed.
