Good Days. Bad Days; How Students Manage Mental Health

School can be a very stressful experience for students. It becomes even more so when those students are juggling other things, like work, bills, a social life, family, physical health, and mental health. Students who have pre-existing issues, or issues that were brought on by their school experience, can find it overwhelming to deal with all of their responsibilities at once. At times it may even seem impossible.

As a college student, I find it hard to balance all the different aspects of my life while also trying to keep good mental health. I often find it too easy to give up on everything when I slip up on one thing. It doesn’t have to be that way though. The key is to not let your negative mood influence the potential for positivity in the future. My personal mantra is “Good days. Bad days”. To me, it serves as a reminder to not let one bad day sour my mood indefinitely. There are good days and there are bad days. You just can’t let the bad outweigh the good.
