NYC’s Golden Pride, Pizza

In Manhattan, John’s of Bleecker Street holds legendary sauce and crust. Opened in 1929, John’s Pizza sells pizza only by the pie and is known to have lines that exceed city public limit, protruding into the sidewalk. In Queens, D’Angelo’s is a staple in Forest Hills, as it is located right off the 75th Avenue stop on the F and E line. While, only open during select hours in the evening, it creates an event worth planning for, making pizza the ultimate prize.

It is a spectacle for tourists, a challenge for other city’s known for great pizza, and a nod to mother Italy’s humble pizza pie put in the spotlight and in the hands of many.
