I have chosen to report/photograph a protest during the pandemic. I have an activist friend who attends many demonstrations and protests throughout New York City. Therefore, I plan on photographing one of these to highlight fighting injustice while a pandemic is going on.
This is a good opportunity to capture good photos. I can focus on the signs they use, how protestors and other activists remain safe during COVID while fighting for rights. It might also be interesting to see if any protestors decorate their masks for the protests.
As of now, I am not sure which protest I will attend exactly. There are various kinds my friend sent me for the upcoming month. However, all of them involve fighting injustices (BLM, immigration, etc.).
