This list was very difficult to narrow down as there are a number of exceptional dramas available on Netflix. Please comment below the list with your favorites that I might have missed!
1. Flight

Flight is an amazing drama about a talented pilot who successfully lands a damaged passenger plane. Appraisees know little of the pilot’s back-story leading up to the fateful flight. This is surely a must-see!
2. Man on the Moon

Jim Carrey received critical acclaim for playing Andy Kaufman, an inventive comedian from the 1970s. Man on the Moon is a outstanding biological drama that is hard not to enjoy.
3. Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is an exceptional comedy-drama in which Tom Hanks plays a simpleminded man who happens to find himself in the middle of almost every major event in the 1960s and 1970s. This is a heartwarming film that you should not miss out on!

5. Into the Wild

Into the Wild is based on a non-fiction book revolving around a young man who gives up everything he has to lead a basic and solitary life in the wild. This is a marvelous biographical drama that you absolutely need to watch.
6. Titanic

Forgive me for the girly pick, but Titanic was the highest grossing fill before Avatar came along, as well as the winner of eleven Oscars! Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio star in this romantic disaster film about the true-story infamous ship, Titanic. Your time is well-invested watching this classic drama.
7. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape

This is another excellent drama adapted from a novel. Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio exceed expectations as they play sibling coming from a troubled family. Young Gilbert is left to care after his family while also balancing a new love affair. This film is a highly rated and recommended by yours truly.
8. The Pianist

The Pianist is a critically acclaimed film that depicts the memoirs of Wladyslaw Szpilman, who was a Polish pianist struggling to survive Nazi attacks and WWII. This dark drama is an exceptional movie featuring Adrien Brody. Enjoy!
9. Trainspotting

This drama is another cult classic, released in 1996, which follows the misadventures of young men trying to cop with unemployment, meaningless relationships, and drug addiction. Check out this popular flick!
10. Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind

This Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet film is full of romance, comedy, science fiction and drama. A man learns that his ex-girlfriend has participated in an experimental medical procedure which purges all selected memories, so he decides to do the same. This is a fantastic movie that I thoroughly recommend.
