Peer Feedback: My improved game addresses the puck’s glitch if the spacebar is pressed quickly. I also increased the difficulty (every 4-goal increase), to make the goalie able to block the puck quicker. I also added the option to change jerseys based on the New York-based hockey team that the player prefers. Lastly, I left the score posted when the game is over, and it will reset once the green flag is hit again. I believe these changes have drastically changed the final product of this game.

Assignment 3: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/931257698

Finalized game using Scratch, called “Super Shootout”, a twist on the Ice Hockey concept of a “shootout” performed in the NHL.

Instructions:

  1. Press Green Flag to start
  2. Place mouse within frame of net
  3. Use provided arrow to help aim, avoiding the goalie.
  4. Press the SPACE key to shoot puck and score.
  5. Score as many goals as you can within 30 seconds.

Details:

-Wait until puck returns to starting position to shoot again.

-The goalie is programmed to move left and right, following the aim of the puck.

-If the puck avoids the goalie and hits the net, it is a GOAL. Score will increase by 1.

-If the puck hits the goalie, it will rebound and be a SAVE.

3D Design Sketch using Tinkercad.

This is a sketch of a toy dog that I received as a gift when I was five years old. This stuffed animal carries great sentimental value, as its well-worn brown fur still carries a scent from my childhood that evokes cherished memories. The bright red silk bow was my favorite accent, which I always held the ribbon tight in my hands. This toy was a constant source of comfort and a reminder of some of my favorite moments.

This mood board is an AI-generated collage utilizing “Fotor” in attempt to replicate my original poster. The best images were generated when the text description was minimal, contrary to what I predicted. The word “silhouette” left minimal room for picture distortion, making it easier to achieve similarity. However, the differences appeared where I needed a philosophical quote, and groups of people. Despite the substitutions, the AI generated images still exhibited the same aesthetic as intended.

My mood board is a visual that reflects my passions in life, weaving together images of my favorite hobbies, important relationships, with philosophical and cultural elements. The beige and pink in tandem with these snapshots portray a comprehensive narrative to my identity.
