This may seem like a basic answer but when I think of games, i think of Mario. The only game experience I enjoy are obstacle courses or some sort of race, therefore, I like playing Mario. After reading “Selections from The Art of Game Design,” I didn’t realize how much time and effort you have to put in order to create a game. The user never thinks of the behind the scenes, they just play the game. I honestly thought designing a game requires a lot of equipment, but after reading the article I learned that all you need to know is decision making. Some might believe it’s simple, but I personally think it’s hard. Mario is a well established and designed game. I can’t seem to think of anything you might want to add to their games. But if I really had to pick, maybe having a virtual reality experience can be cool. Playing Mario as if ur actually there might be very unique and interesting. Again, going back to the decision making process. How can we execute the vr idea? Honestly, I don’t even know. It seems complicated. But if I had to guess, I’d assume we would have to code some sort of interacting feature regarding the virtual reality headset.
