Scope New York is an art show featuring 60 international galleries. The main difference between Scope and The Armory, a couple of blocks away, is that the artist is usually present at their gallery in Scope to talk. The scene is ambient and both artists and representatives are eager to speak about the works.

Jennifer Singer, of Jenn Singer Gallery, said, “When I saw [Juan’s] work, I just knew I had to have him shown in my gallery. His work is fantastic and he is just an amazing person.”

Gu Gu Kim‘s Pure is made up of charcoal and pastel fingerpainting. He said, “It was easier to use [his fingers] than a brush.”

The show displays both modern art and contemporary art, and I believe it is really worth the money. The 60 galleries occupy two floors and there are complimentary drinks sponsored by Bombay Sapphire.
Scope New York 2016 is located at 639 W 46th Street, New York, NY 10036.
The show runs from March 3 and ends March 6, 2016. Hours vary each day and can be found here.
