You do bring up a good point about how outsourcing has been a huge contributor to wealth disparity that exists. The number of manufacturing jobs that were outsourced will never return and we must turn to areas to try and find a way to create a booming middle class. Additionally, it was rather smart to address the memo to Boehner as the Republicans have been talking about income inequality and blaming Obama without really acknowledging the issues that have led to income inequality. With all that said, perhaps it’s a bit premature to suggest legislative reform for automation based on technological advances that do not yet exist. Could this be an issue that exists down the road? Certainly. But we have not yet seen the effects of this issue to enact reform.
