Makerlie,

I wish that I could share your view that diplomatic efforts are making progress towards “a more peaceful and stable Middle East.” At the moment, given the barbaric conflict being fought in Gaza and Israel, the prospects for peace seem further away than ever. But who knows, perhaps out of this tragedy both sides will come to see that perpetual conflict gets them no where. There must be compromise and a willingness to change if there is to be peace. –Professor Wallerstein
