The most popular time to visit peru is May to September however that leads to a very crowded time. I would recommend October to early November right before the rainy season officially starts.

The whole country is beautiful. It depends what you prefer to do on your vacations. Popular places include Cusco, Lima, Huacachina, Aequipe and Lake Tititaca. My favorite was Huacachina.

Yes, Lima and the highways have good infrastructure. However, traffic can be extremely hectic and drivers tend to be aggressive. Some of the small towns have very narrow roads. I do not recommend it if you are easily scared.

Yes, but it will cost you extra to rent. I think it is worth paying extra with all the hills.

Due to extreme traffic outside the airport, long security and immigration lines, it can be a difficult experience. I recommend you go at least 3 hours prior to your time in order to not miss your flight.

Before you board your international flight after a security check, they will once again check your bag for liquids. It is a terrible systema and do not buy anything that would not normally be permitted via security in duty free or else it will not be permitted.
