Students can apply for national fellowships to fund:
- Undergraduate study abroad (For example, Gilman Scholarships, Boren Awards, Humanity in Action Fellowships)
- Graduate study abroad (For example, Marshall Scholarships, Rhodes Scholarships, Boren Awards)
- Graduate study of international affairs at US institutions (For example, Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship, Truman Scholarship, Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship)
- Research abroad (For example, Fulbright Program)
Announcements about national fellowships are delivered on our listservs for Political Science majors and minors. A full listing of national fellowships is available from Baruch’s Office of National and Prestigious Fellowship Advising. For advice on which national fellowships it might be appropriate to apply for, students can consult Political Science Professor David Lindsey and/or Valeria Hymas, Deputy Director of National and Prestigious Fellowships Advising ([email protected]).
Students can also apply for Starr Study Abroad Fellowships directly from Baruch College. For these fellowships, the competition is only among Baruch students, increasing the odds of success.
