Weissman School of Arts and Sciences
Through the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, the College offers programming in fine arts, performing arts, literature, and culture. The Weissman School is home to Baruch’s Department of Natural Sciences, which offers studies in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Sciences, and offers a major in Biological Sciences.

Between 2011 and 2019, 92 of our students have had committee letters written for them. Eighty-nine of these letters accompanied medical or dental school applications.
From 2011-2019, Baruch’s Department of Natural Science’s first-time acceptance rate is 70% (62/89; for students who received a committee letter; includes both dental and medical schools).
The national average of first-time acceptance rate to medical schools is 43% (2012-2018; from https://www.brown.edu/academics/college/advising/health-careers/medical-admission-data-snapshot) (First-time acceptance rate to dental schools is a bit higher, but under 50%.)
