November 25
Hey everyone, How are you all doing? Hope everyone is doing well now that we are entering the cold months here in NYC! I’ve been very busy with school, taking 5 classes, getting through midterms, and doing a little restaurant work on the side that it’s been hard to keep balanced! But I want to update you guys on how I’ve been able to center myself a bit more, during the month of October and into November. In October my workout routine was on and off, so I really wanted to get in gear and get my mind and body back on track. I feel like being outside and in the beautiful air and weather (maybe in only some parts of nyc 😉 ) is the best place to workout and stay active. I recently figured out that there is a track on the East River, called the East River park, that is on 6th and the East River…..I am on 6th street and 2nd Ave so it is great for me! They have a great track, turf soccer field, and also an outdoor “gym” with pull up bars, and different gymnast type contraptions you can do body weight exercises with. I’ve been trying to go 4 times a week, in which I run a mile around the track, do sprints on the soccer field, do different variations of pushups and pull ups, and work on my abs. This was great, I will post some of my routines in the workouts tab. As well during this time I was able to make several healthy foods that I ate after my workouts, and you can find those in my Food tab. Now that it is getting cold, I may try to still do outside running, but I recently joined NYSC near me, and I will do my workouts there. I’ll give you all an update on how that has been going. Thanks, for reading I hope everyone is doing there best in whatever job, study, venture that you are applying yourself to. Feel free to share anything!
