For Tuesday, your main task is to keep working on essay 2. Remember that you’ll need to get me a draft by Sunday night if you’d like me to give you comments, but I’ll also be around campus on Tuesday. (Emailed questions or concerns are always welcome.)
The syllabus says that you’ll exchange beginnings for peer review for Tuesday. I’m going to make that optional (since we did that a bit in class). So, if you would like to share your up-to-date intro with someone else from class by Tuesday, you can send me evidence of that exchange (the same way we did for the last paper) for one point of extra credit. (Actual exchanged feedback/engagement with your peer’s ideas—not just “looks good!”—required for full credit.)
Check back on Tuesday for info about the final project, which we’ll be talking about in class on Thursday. For Thursday, you should also read the first act of Shakespeare’s Othello. (Any paper edition with footnotes is acceptable. None of that “translated into contemporary English” nonsense allowed. You are smart grownups.)
Finally, here’s the info for the play next week. We’ll be going to see Othello on Friday (May 1) at 7:30PM. (I recommend showing up by 7:15PM to ensure getting seated.) Here’s the link to the theater’s website, where you can find directions and more information. PLEASE, if you haven’t done so already, email me to let me know if you can’t make it. I really don’t want extra tickets to go to waste.
