Poetry Exercise

Poetry Exercise at Madison Square Park

Step 1: There was a large flock of birds standing near the entrance of the park. They began to peck at bread crumbs as well as them chirping. I also saw the smiles and wagging of tails from dogs all around me. There were plenty of people walking their dogs around the park. There were so many people just sitting around eating their lunch and enjoying the weather. People were now in just hoodies and some even in t-shirts.

Step 2: This image gave me the impression of how much I love spring. Out of all the seasons, spring is my favorite. I love waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. It reminds me of when I was in elementary/intermediate school and knowing that the weather was warming up. My friends, cousins, and I could all begin going to the park. I can soon retire my big winter jacket until late fall.

Step 3:

The birds chirp loudly on trees,

I wake up with a gentle breeze.

Dogs wagging their tails quickly walk past,

Now that winter is gone at last.

.

The leaves on trees change from barren to bright green,

The same way our jackets are soon to be no longer seen.

The night begins to come later,

While the warmth of the sun becomes a new invader.

.

The flowers blooming fresh and new,

Giving the landscape a greater view.

The park fills with kids running and smiling

Must appreciate the moment as time is quickly flying.
