What is considered “Always On” is difficult to determine. As Boyd pointed out that being always on doesn’t mean you’re always accessible to everyone. But with technology moving forward so fast its difficult to tell if a little piece of technology such as this “Digital Pen” can connect you to world when you’re actually (offline).

The Question is why this pen is different than any regular pen, and most importantly Why this pen is considered a connection to world?

All the feature to this pen are the source to being always on. The camera and a microphone on this pen are to record all the information, and afterwards distribute this information via USB, by plugging this to a computer. The other point we should consider is that in order to be always on, you don’t need to have a bigger horizon of audience, because the information I will be capturing on this pen can be used by me, therefore I consider myself as an audience.
