Seminar Learning Goals

By the end of the Seminar, participants will be able to. . .

  1. Define student engagement and participation 
  2. Identify strategies and opportunities for synchronous and asynchronous student engagement 
  3. Locate available resources at Baruch that support student learning and engagement
  4. Articulate plans to include student engagement and participation in their courses 
  5. Actualize opportunities for student engagement and participation by developing and revising a “teaching artifact”

Our Philosophy

This Seminar is an educational opportunity to collectively explore the choices we’re making as educators. While its focus is on “student engagement” and is an online course about teaching courses, it is first and foremost a course about teaching and learning in general.
