I Worry About Muslims

Mohammed Hanif expressed some very powerful words in his article relating to Muslims. I believe that this article focused on the voice of authority, rather than authoritarianism because of the search for a label upon the Muslim people. For example, this was outlined accurately through Hanif’s explanation of television representatives who are in some ways “responsible” for defending the Muslim people. Also, the presence of authority is evident when Muslim people, whether religious or not, are held accountable for justifying the peace within Islam, after devastating instances. In my opinion, there is no reason to speak defensively for Islam due to the actions of extremists. Regardless of the situation, there is only so much that ordinary Muslims can do to change what has happened. The voice of authority that Muslims are now found liable for is displayed perfectly within this article.

  1. I agree that in this article by Mohammed Hanif he expressed that the authority, media representatives, is more or less responsible for the image Muslims have worldwide. The article goes on to talk about how or why Muslims regardless of their practices serve as individual representatives of the entire religion. Who is the authority responsible for defending Islam? It is up the discussion but it definitely shouldn’t be up to every Muslim to defend themselves for the actions of a select few.

I also agree with what is discussed by Mohammad Hanif in his article. Everyone is trying to take things in their own hands. But putting everything on side media representatives are the major characters in this. It’s upon them how they present such situations. One misperception regarding anything and there it goes because sometimes situations are so window dressed. News gets circulated in world in seconds or even less and majority have not visited those areas so the audience gets a whole different point of view regarding it.
