I have experienced many different kinds of power of plays in school. The most known power in a school would be from a teacher. A teacher has the capability to control most of the students. Yesterday during my business class, my teacher called on my group to answer a question. Even though many of us probably didn’t want to say anything, we had to because we didn’t want to have a failing grade for participation that day. Grades for the most part are important to many students because their future depends on it. Without high grades, it would be hard for them to progress. The teacher has the power to increase or decrease one’s grade. This makes students want cooperate with the teacher. Teachers give students work, expecting the students to finish it.

The role of a teacher has similarities with the role of a bus driver. Similar to the teacher, a bus driver can make or break one’s day. If the driver believes a bus is too full, they may not let more people on the bus which may force them to either wait for the next one or walk. If they are more lenient they can allow people to get on to fill up the bus till its max. A teacher can go easy on a student such as if they are asked a question and the wrong answer is given, they may accept it. It is an unusual connection, but one is there between the teacher and bus driver.
