THESIS: The analysis of every position match-up and the presence of a simulation provide a justified outcome for the great debate amongst NBA fans surrounding the 2015-2016 Warriors vs. the ’95-’96 Bulls.
PLAN: I plan to base the foundation of my essay by using the evidence provided in the article, specifically the simulation model and the match-ups between the teams. I want to split the idea into paragraphs of their own, so that the statistic evidence and the actual analysis are split up. I think that the author included a lot of basis for proof regarding this question in every NBA fan’s mind. I would like to dig in to the descriptions regarding the match-ups especially well because the author did include some important details about all of the players and their playing styles. In terms of the statistics, we can see in which areas either of the teams did better than the other. I would like to use all of this information to formulate the argument in the essay.
I think your thesis statement is very well-developed and specific to your topic! The topic you’re going to write about is pretty interesting. Putting in statistics about the match-ups between teams will make your essay a lot more interesting to read. It seems that whenever statistics are in an essay, it makes it a little more credible and overall develops the argument to a whole new level.

Hi Arraf,
Yes, this looks like an interesting article, and you’ve obviously done some good thinking here, but remember your goal is to analyze the effectiveness of the writer in reaching the intended demographic. This should actually be your argument in your thesis. Remember, you’re not arguing what the writer is arguing.
Interesting thesis and a very interesting topic. Personally, I would be interested in seeing these teams actually competing. Your thesis is specific and opens up for what you would write in the essay. It is a good idea to separate the statistics and analytics because in sports they have their differenced. Statistics give you hard evidence to what actually happened, while analytics go into the statistics or tendencies. The statistics will give you a stronger argument because they are facts that can support your essay. I look forward to reading it.
