Thesis: In order to secure votes and bolster support in the coming election, Donald Trump plays on the fears and prejudice American citizens have by drawing a distinct contrast between America and other nations pegged as inferior by him.
For this second essay, I plan on taking a look at Donald Trump’s speech he gave announcing his plans to run for president. I will be talking about the different points he makes that support his argument about why he believes that he should be leader, the various techniques he uses in his speech to connect with the audience, I will address the fallacies in his speech and how he changes his words in later speeches and finally I will explain how all of this has come together to make him an effective speaker that has managed to accumulate his following.

Your thesis statement is very specific, in that I clearly know what you’re going to be talking about. I find your topic about your essay very interesting because there is a lot to say about Donald Trump and his speeches, because he is always in the media getting criticized for what he says, and it will be interesting to see how although he faces a lot of criticism, he still is up in the polls. After reading about how you plan to execute your thesis, I feel that you have plenty of information to have a very strong argument that Donald Trump’s speeches are effective in reaching a specific demographic, but also how his speeches are full of fallacies.
Overall, Sumaiyah, this looks good, but you need to hone your thesis a bit. Remember, you need to analyze how effective Trump is in reaching a specific demographic. If you want to discuss fallacies in his speech, that’s very good, but remember, you need to discuss these fallacies in terms of an audience. For example, perhaps these fallacies are exactly what his supporters want to hear. Alternately, you can also discuss another demographic that he is actually alienating with his arguments and language.
