Goodbye Blog!
Blog 3: Experience
In high school, I dreamed of leaving the city for college. I wanted the full “college experience” and the aspect of dorming was really appealing. When I ultimately made the decision to attend Baruch, I didn’t know what to expect. Fortunately, my experience at Baruch has lived and exceeded my expectations. I’ve met a lot of awesome people and made new friends. The teachers are great. Commuting is a horror as I’d expected, but nothing unbearable.
In my first semester, I ended up dropping my calculus class. I ended up making more commitments than I could handle. I didn’t do as well as I could’ve, but I’ll work harder next semester. Even if I could turn back time and start the semester over, there isn’t much I could change. I can only keep pushing forward and hope that I’ll be able to prioritize better next semester.
Since I started school at Baruch, I’ve learned to have better time management. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a great procrastinator and still am, but I’ve also learned how to manage my time more efficiently. I’ve learned a lot academically and that college is a great experience if you actively pursue it.

Klutzy
Blog 2: Monologue
I am a klutz, there’s just no other way to describe it. I’ll trip over anything and nothing – from cracks in the street or even over my own two feet. I’ll slip in the rain and on the stairs. Perhaps there’s something I’m doing wrong that I don’t realize, but I always find myself in the clumsiest situations.
I have three humiliating and painful memories that I remember most:
Once when I was around seven, I was speeding down my stairs with all the energy of a typical kid. Back then, I lived on the fifth floor of a building in which there were no elevators. As I nearly reached the last flight of stairs, I suddenly missed a step and rolled all the way down. Luckily, I didn’t hurt anything significant and simply stood up and walked out the door.
Then when I was about 13, there was a time when I was hurrying to get home in the snow and rain. I had my hood up and my scarf covering half my face. I was facing the ground so that the wet coldness wouldn’t seep into my eyes. I was walking so fast that I suddenly walked straight into a lamppost! It was like a scene straight out of a movie, except much more painful!
My third klutzy memory was just last year when I was sitting on an airbed during a vacation in the Poconos. To start off, I should mention that I’m a tiny Asian girl, weighing approximately 100 lbs. My male friend (who was much heavier than I was) decided to jump on the other end. As a result, the bed acted like a trampoline and I literally bounced off headfirst into a nearby table stand. Can you even imagine that? Well it happened, and it hurt!
Perhaps I’m just destined to bump (pun intended) to bump into these klutzy situations! Haha.
