Goodbye Blog!

Blog 3: Experience

In high school, I dreamed of leaving the city for college. I wanted the full “college experience” and the aspect of dorming was really appealing. When I ultimately made the decision to attend Baruch, I didn’t know what to expect. Fortunately, my experience at Baruch has lived and exceeded my expectations. I’ve met a lot of awesome people and made new friends. The teachers are great. Commuting is a horror as I’d expected, but nothing unbearable.

In my first semester, I ended up dropping my calculus class. I ended up making more commitments than I could handle. I didn’t do as well as I could’ve, but I’ll work harder next semester. Even if I could turn back time and start the semester over, there isn’t much I could change. I can only keep pushing forward and hope that I’ll be able to prioritize better next semester.

Since I started school at Baruch, I’ve learned to have better time management. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a great procrastinator and still am, but I’ve also learned how to manage my time more efficiently. I’ve learned a lot academically and that college is a great experience if you actively pursue it.
